Pattern Repeats: The pattern repeats stated within our pricelist and on our sampling are for your convenience, however may vary slightly within a tolerance of 5% approximately. Although every effort is made to avoid distortion or variance, occasionally these will occur. Therefore, please ensure that the pattern alignment is satisfactory to produce a good end result before cutting.

Shrinkage: All fabrics are liable to shrinkage; therefore it is important that sufficient allowance of up to 5% is made. Atmospheric conditions and changes in humidity can cause movement. We can not accept responsibility for such movement. Shrinking can be minimized by following the correct cleaning procedures.

Wear & Tear: Most fabrics will wear during use and may change in appearance slightly over time. Please remind the end consumer that this is a natural characteristic of soft furnishings and should be expected. Pile fabrics such as velvets and chenille's may flatten and show an optical shading effect and flat woven fabrics may pill or bobble. Customers should be advised to rotate cushions allowing for even wear.

Velvets and pile fabrics: When using velvets and pile fabrics for upholstery the buyer must use an intermediate covering of Calico to assist spillages and prevent pile drag from the underside. We would also recommend that a good quality lining and interlining be used for curtain use and that the pile direction faces downwards Please handle velvets and pile fabrics with extra care to avoid excessive creasing or pile damage.

Cleaning: All fabrics will have care symbols stated on our sampling. We generally recommend all fabrics should be dry cleaned by an experienced soft furnishing specialist. Spot cleaning should not be attempted. Please seek professional cleaning advice if you are uncertain.
